WEBINAR: Empowering the Modern Workforce

On December 7, 2021 at 2pm Eastern Time, I am excited to be hosting the latest installment in the KGL webinar series, focusing on emerging workforce enablement strategies. I will be joined by three amazing panelists from diverse verticals to share best practices and forward-thinking trends within the L&D industry. The intent of the webinar is to provide our audience with a holistic view of successful trends for 2021, along with areas of opportunity for the coming year.

The training industry is resilient, with leaders navigating and overcoming many recent unexpected challenges. For 2022, we predict there will be a resurgence of innovative approaches as the next phase of learner engagement and workforce evolution unfolds. Our panelists will share insights into inclusive learner experiences from their industries that employ effective engagement through technology and design thinking. Listeners will gain valuable knowledge on the modern workforce and how to adapt learning strategies for this ever-changing landscape.

Our panel of L&D experts spans the nonprofit, telecommunications, and retail industries.

Josh Miely, Director, Education at National Association of Broadcasters, oversees the member experience for a trade association that advocates on behalf of local and national radio and television stations across America. In his role Josh hosts and produces the NAB Podcast, is responsible for the production and dissemination of all the Association’s virtual content including courses designed by KGL, and helps facilitate and produce in-person educational sessions at the group’s annual conferences. Commenting on what he sees on the horizon for Learning & Development in his field, Josh said, “For trade associations to keep member content relevant and engaging in 2022 and beyond they will need to implement new technology and more robust analytics to better target and meet the needs of their membership.”

Kristen Pearson, Manager, Learning & Development at Intelsat, is a certified talent development leader with over 10 years of experience specializing in relationship building, talent strategies and empowering individuals to reach their professional goals. Her focus remains on executing a clear and proactive learning strategy, to meet the diverse needs of the workforce ensuring the creation of an engaging and inclusive learning ecosystem. “As the satellite communications space continues to evolve—in addition to factoring in the many challenges the past two years have brought L&D—we will be looking at upskilling like never before. Starting in 2022, we will be training over half of our organization in new technological advances to prepare them for a global hybrid work environment.”

Saria Milano, Learning & Development Manager at Raley’s Supermarkets, works tirelessly to deliver training content covering everything from workplace harassment to how to effectively interview candidates. She serves a diverse workforce that essentially consumes the same content which means always striking the right chord to meet the learners where they are while also innovating and modernizing training materials. “Operating in a market which is competing to attract and retain talent while needing to create training which is faster, more efficient and impactful, the future of learning in my industry will require training that at once feels curated to the learner yet scalable to a large audience.”

We hope you will join us for this important discussion of learning transformation best practices and sustainable approaches to enhance learning strategies. For more information on the webinar and to register, please visit our event page.
